Crunchy Granola

Testing, testing... one, two, three. Here's goes.

Well, it's one o'clock in the morning and all original intent has now been lost. I'm crazy excited, worried, overwhelmed, by this thing that we're going to try in over a year. Yes, that sentence does sound stupid after typing it out. But it's true.

I used to be better at writing entertaining posts. I went back and was reading my old CDT and PCT blogs. I know that I might be an easy crowd but I was entertained.

Today I made soup. I made butternut squash, celery root, leek and collard greens soup. I made it mostly from the Full Belly Farm CSA box that we just started getting this week. I also made granola. It tastes yummy. Yes Squatch I said it, yummy. I made it with chopped almonds, sesame seeds, wheat germ, dried cranberries, diced dried apples, um... oats, yeah oats are in there too. (See what I mean? I've lost my touch with any ability that I once had of written captivation. I'm talking about granola ingredients.)

So, I assume that I'm going to have to erase this post eventually. It's really boring. But the CDT is going to happen. Marlowe and I are planning it. I felt tonight that I finally started to get it all. We need to plan more. We need to learn more about navigation. We need some heavier warmer gear. But, now I know. Now I can get started, rather than just making granola. This isn't the PCT. We're going to have to sacrifice a lot more.
